The G sections are known for their slant monuments, which feature rough or sawn backs, giving them a rustic aesthetic. I sections feature smoother-backed markers, offering a polished look. M sections exclusively use sawn-back designs, providing uniformity.

A special area honors fallen firefighters, and mausoleum programs cater to above-ground preferences, adding to the cemetery's varied layout.

Monument Rules

Alpine Cemetery enforces strict monument regulations to maintain its aesthetic. Only Dark Barry Gray granite is permitted for markers, ensuring durability and uniformity. Bronze markers are allowed solely for government-issued memorials, such as those honoring veterans. They must be mounted on a granite base.

Monument size, shape, and finish vary by section: G sections favor slant designs with rough or sawn backs, I sections require smooth backs, and M sections mandate sawn backs only. These rules ensure consistency while respecting individual tributes.
